Two angels who were on a journey decided to stay overnight at the house of a wealthy family. The family was impolite and declined to offer the angels accommodation in the guest room of the mansion. Instead, they were provided a place in the chilly basement. While preparing their bed on the unforgiving floor, the elder angel noticed a hole in the wall and fixed it. When the younger angel inquired about the reason, the elder angel responded... Appearances can be deceiving.
The following evening, the duo sought shelter at the home of a humble yet welcoming farmer and his wife. Despite having limited food, the couple generously shared with the angels and allowed them to sleep in their bed for a peaceful night's rest. The next morning, as the sun rose, the angels discovered the farmer and his wife in tears, mourning the loss of their sole source of income - their cow, which had passed away in the field.
Expressing anger, the younger angel questioned the older angel about allowing the unfortunate event to occur. The first man had abundance but received help, while the second family, despite having little, lost their cow despite their willingness to share. The older angel responded by pointing out that appearances can be deceiving.
While residing in the basement of the mansion, I observed gold in a crevice in the wall, as the owner was extremely greedy and ready to distribute his wealth. I closed off the wall to prevent him from discovering it. Later, as we slept in the farmer's bed, the angel of death arrived for his wife. I suggested that he take the cow instead.
Appearances can be deceiving. This often occurs when situations do not unfold as expected. Having faith in GOD means believing that every result is ultimately in your favor, even if you may not see it immediately.
